From the time
Tina was old enough to speak, she liked to listen,
mostly to stories told by her mother, grandmother and aunts.
She begged for "just one more story!" and prompted
them with questions that would keep them reminiscing about
the glorious olden days — their happy and sad and funny
times. OK, when she was really little, part of her motivation
was to stall bedtime. But the core of her curiosity was, and
still is, a deep passion for stories and compassion for the
people therein.
